Mind map

I have created a mind-map to collect ideas of audio which I could use or create for my unit 10 animation. I added sub-nodes to split my animation into more specific categories, for example dialogue and music.

Script

I have created a rough script which outlines dialogue included in my animation. The script explains where the dialogue should go in relation to my animation. In my script, there is extra detail to show how the dialogue in my animation will be said and who will say it.
Audio storyboard

I have created an audio storyboard to show where audio will go in my animation in relation to my storyboards which I have created.

Practice audio

I made some practice audios based on the planning I have made. These will be the main idea for what I want the final ones to sound like.

Asset table

I have created an asset table to note down any audio from either online or sounds which I have created (foley sounds). I will use royalty-free sounds to ensure I do not break copyright laws, however I still must reference where my materials have come from.

Summary

By creating my practice audio, I have understood how to appeal to the target audience of my media product. The client brief of my animation suggests that my animation should target an audience of 4-10-year-olds. Based on this I feel quite light and happy sounds will suit my animation. For my dialogue I will either have a young child read it or use software to adjust my own voice to be more childlike. I tried to reach a young audience and therefore I took inspiration from other dialogue on children's TV channels.
